Ahimsa! Dharma! Truth! Patriot! The words which would describe Mahatma_Gandhi the best. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is very famous in India as Bapu and was given the title “ Father of the Nation “ . He was born on 2nd October 1869. He was a disciplined student and was influenced by his mother’s religious ideals. He married Kasturba Ji at the age of 13 years. After passing matriculation, he went to England for further studies. He left a simple life in England he was never influenced by Western culture. It is not easy to give a just measure of a great man in his life. He fought tooth and nail for India’s freedom and had six principles in life: Truth, Non-Violence, Vegetarianism, Brahmacharya, Simplicity and Faith. Today western culture has influenced us too much that we need to follow the Gandhian principles. To get freedom without nonviolence is something brilliant. Being a great politician and sticking to the truth is indeed appreciable. If we follow them there won’t be a lot of problems, a lot of differences among ourselves. And now if we come to humanity Gandhiji’s contribution towards humanity is everlasting. Our Present Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, a great follower of Mahatma Gandhi has quoted a lot of incidents of Gandhi Ji’s life in his speeches. He has pledged to continue working hard to realise the dream to create a better planet. Gandhiji never tried to create influence but his life became a source of inspiration. Most of us even think she was the root cause of Pakistan’s division, the division of our country. However, I think we should change our perspective for a moment and think about the changes he made for the upliftment of human beings in our society. He never differentiated people on any grounds but treated everyone as equal. He has always spread the feeling of brotherhood in our nation. His emphasis on Satyagraha which means part of truth and ahimsa has transformed the great Congress party into a mass movement. ” BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD” -Gandhiji always used to serve others. He has spent his whole life in the service of others. He stood for the upliftment of society with many other political leaders to make this nation a better place to live in. What a great man he was, the man whose action expresses their priorities and their priority was our nation. We must follow his ideals and respect him. We should give a salute to him, he has played a great role that today we can live happily and freely
