“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

                                                                                 ~ Nelson Mandela

In our country, education remains a luxury and not a necessity, it is because most people do not understand the importance of education due to ignorance, lack of awareness and poverty. Most of the people in India are of the view that education is costly and time-consuming.

It is important to make them understand the significance of education. Education is responsible for providing an enhanced lifestyle. It provides career opportunities and proficiency that can improve your quality of life.

Importance of Education

Education is important for one’s development as a person. It benefits in the following ways:-

  • improves our personality
  • upgrades us mentally, spiritually and intellectually
  • helps to become self-dependent and build a great confidence to accomplish difficult tasks
  • help a person make informed decisions with the use of their knowledge
  • help a country grow and be economically stronger
  • help in eradicating poverty and child labour

Social constraints to Education

In our country, education is not available free of cost. Poor people cannot afford to pay high tuition fees in private schools. The sad part is the lack of quality in government schools. There is a lack of proper infrastructure, punctuality and motivation among the teachers. So the number of dropouts from such schools keep increasing and the children end up working as labourers and remain in poverty for the rest of their lives.

Measures by SKCF

SK Children Foundation helps such children lead better and stable life by teaching them. SK Children Foundation has been working for the past 5 years to provide quality education to the underprivileged children in our society. SK children foundation has helped more than 200 children to lead a better life. SKCF’s motto is to build a world where each child is educated and valued.

Apart from education, students are also encouraged to indulge in extracurricular activities. Lectures on topics like self-defence, Good touch and bad touch are organized.

Thus, SKCF aims to improve the lives of these children and their future.
